Protect Children from Irreversible Harm

Children who identify as transgender deserve compassionate support. Their discomfort with their sex is real. But the causes are complicated, poorly understood, and under-researched.

These children deserve evidence-based care, not experimental medical interventions.

Their parents deserve to know the truth: that puberty-blocking drugs, hormones, and surgeries are not supported by a single long-term study and are not the answer to their child’s emotional pain. In fact, these interventions are likely to cause serious and irreversible harm.

Concerned state legislators across the US are drafting bills that would encourage parents and therapists to explore and treat underlying issues allowing children time to mature before invasive medical interventions are even considered.

Legislators need to hear from parents who have been pressured into providing consent on behalf of their child. But more importantly, they need to hear from those who know first-hand the harms and painful regret caused by puberty-blocking drugs, hormones, and surgeries.

Please help these bills become law by participating in our project, Protect Children from Irreversible Harm.
